Metis uses the website to manage sign-in, onboarding, account settings, beta access, and security controls. If you create an account or use the website auth flow, the information you provide can be used to authenticate you, secure your account, and operate the service.

The browser extension remains local-first for scan behavior in this phase. Website account data and extension scan data are not described as fully synced unless a future feature explicitly says so.

Metis does not position hidden tracking or resale of personal information as part of the product strategy. Privacy updates should stay explicit as account, beta, and extension-connected features expand.
